BIM Versions (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates bimversions.in and the BIM Versions engineering design collaboration service (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use the Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, authentication details, organization, and profile information.
- Project content: AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, CAD, and related engineering files, revisions, previews, comments, approvals, metadata, and audit history that you or your organization upload.
- Billing information: billing contact details and transaction records. Payment card details may be processed by our payment providers rather than stored by us.
- Usage and device information: IP address, browser, device, operating system, pages viewed, feature activity, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.
- Communications: messages and other information you provide when contacting support or requesting a demonstration.
- Cookies: essential cookies used for authentication, security, preferences, and service operation, plus analytics cookies where permitted.
2. How we use information
- Provide, secure, maintain, and improve BIM Versions.
- Store and organize design revisions, enable comparisons, and support review and approval workflows.
- Authenticate users and enforce workspace roles and permissions.
- Process subscriptions, respond to support requests, and send service communications.
- Monitor reliability, investigate misuse, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable law.
We do not sell or rent your personal information or engineering design files.
3. How we share information
We may share information with vetted hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, communications, and payment providers that process data for us under appropriate contractual safeguards. Project content is shared with workspace members according to the permissions configured by your organization. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4. Ownership and project content
You and your organization retain ownership of uploaded engineering designs and related project content. We process that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service, or as otherwise instructed by the authorized workspace owner.
5. Data retention
We retain account information and project content while your account or organization’s subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backup, security, dispute resolution, and legal purposes. Workspace owners may request deletion, subject to contractual, backup, and legal retention requirements.
6. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their credentials and configure workspace access carefully.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to processing, or delete personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To make a request, use the support channel available within your BIM Versions account. We may need to verify your identity and, for organization-managed data, coordinate with your workspace administrator.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
9. Children’s privacy
BIM Versions is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service.
